Chrysi Papadaki - Visual Artist
Chrysi Papadaki is an artist currenty based in Athens. She was borne in 1997 and raised in Rethymno, Crete.
In 2024 she graduated from the Athens School of Fine Arts(ASFA) in the painting department with Pandelis Handris. She also attended performance art classes with Georgia Sagrí and studied in Univesitat Politecnica de Valencia under the Erasmus programe.She is currently completing her internship through the Erasmus program at seriousFilm, a foundation for audiovisual production based in Rotterdam, Netherlands.
In her work she is concerned with the concept of interconnection, identity, femeninity and in what ways we feel parts of the world or displaced and how interaction with others affects us .
Her main medium is drawing, the visual language of Κρούθις (Cruthis), shapes whose form indicates that they are parts of a larger network and their disposition for interaction. She has a particular interest in the aesthetics of ancient worlds, folklore and sci-fi.
Recently, she has begun experimenting with animation, video, photography and storytelling techniques.
